Christian Testimony: How to Share Your Faith Story

Every person’s faith journey begins somewhere. Some people grow up in church and gradually come to personal faith. Others encounter Jesus in a moment of crisis, when every other hope has failed. What unites these stories is the power of a living God who pursues each heart with relentless love.

Person sharing their Christian testimony and faith story with others
Your story is one that only you can tell — and someone needs to hear it.

Why Your Testimony Matters

Revelation 12:11 tells us that believers overcome by “the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony.” Your personal story of how God found you, saved you, and transformed you is a spiritual weapon. It cannot be argued against — it is your lived experience of grace.

How to Share Your Faith Story

  • Before: Briefly describe your life before coming to faith — what you were searching for, what was missing.
  • The turning point: What happened? When did you encounter Jesus? What changed?
  • After: How has your life been different? What has God done in you since then?
  • Keep it focused on Jesus — He is the hero of your story, not you.
  • Be authentic — People connect with real, honest stories, not polished performances.

Quick Faith Quiz

According to Revelation 12:11, believers overcome by the blood of the Lamb and by…

Reveal the answer

B — “The word of their testimony” (Revelation 12:11). Your story is a powerful tool in God’s hands.

Lord, give us courage to share what You have done in our lives. Use our stories to open hearts to Your saving grace. In Jesus’s name, Amen.
